Our Valued Supporters

The Board of the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund acknowledges the supporters who have made the allocation of scholarships to our recipients possible.

Merrylands RSL Club in western Sydney has been the major supporter of the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund since its inception and annually sponsors the scholarship presentation lunch at the club.  In association with the Merrylands RSL Sub-Branch, the club is also a major donor to the Fund.

In recognition of that support the Fund has now established the Merrylands RSL Bursary to be awarded annually to a recipient from western Sydney under the same criteria as other scholarship winners.

Our Corporate Partners

In February 2020, defence technology and innovation company, Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) became the GSF’s first corporate partner, announcing an investment in excess of $120,000 to establish the  Lockheed Martin Australia Bursary.  Headquartered in Canberra, LMA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation. The company employs more than 1000 people in Australia working on a wide range of major programs spanning the aerospace, defence and civil sectors.

To be eligible for an LMA Bursary, applicants must satisfy the same core criteria common to all Gallipoli scholarships as a direct descendant of an Australian veteran, show necessitous needs/hardship in attending university and be enrolled in a tertiary course of study in a STEM field or related discipline.  There will be one LMA Bursary awarded for 2020, with a further 11 awarded up until end 2023.
